  Throwback Thursday: Vintage Jewelry

On Valentine's Day, what better theme for Throwback Thursday than jewelry?

From rhinestones to broaches to cocktail rings galore, I love the constant inspiration that is taken from vintage jewelry to style some of the most fabulous events to everyday fashion. I love those pieces that feel like they just stepped out of your great grandmother's jewelry box, but even with all the pieces out there today I found it a bit hard to pin down those doing it fabulously. J.Crew is one I think that has led the most recent trend of classic clasps and hardware, and BHLDN is hot on the heels of making the fanciest fetes forever chic.

Who are some of your favorite jewelry designers showing vintage pieces?

Vintage-inspired Jewelry: Loren Hope bracelet, J.Crew necklace, BHLDN earrings, Stella & Dot ring.

Throwback Thursday: New Year

Throwback New Years

There's nothing wrong, and everything right, with celebrating the new year in an old-school way. A new 2013 "garden" calendar from Rifle Paper Co. gives nod to this trend that is only growing stronger. Thank you notes from Sugar Paper, because proper manners will never go out of style and a handwritten note is just the thing to thank friends & family for the good times & great gifts from the holidays. Your future is bright, 2013 is our year, and these Aviator Ray-Bans are a classic. And, everyone needs a few words of wisdom to inspire and rejuvenate them - "Write Your Own Way" arrow Waxing Poetic necklace from Layla Grayce is the perfect mantra for me this year.

What is in store for you this year?

Throwback Thursday: heirloom worthy.

I just launched my brand new line, heirloomed. and went in search of other "heirloom" quality items that make fabulous finds for the holidays for those who appreciate the finer things in life that are lasting. These are a few of my favorites! heirloom

Throwback Thursday : Bike Likes.

Einstein has a great quote that says "Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving." With the holidays approaching, the idea of constant moving can be stressful. However that movement is also at the center of how we grow. I want to dedicate today's Throwback Thursday post to one of my favorite bicycle enthusiasts, my dad. He's a big cyclist so I always keep my eyes peeled for good gift ideas for the bike lover. The nostalgia of the bike will forever be a childlike memory for us all.
