We’re serving up a quick, easy + fun family lunch or dinner recipe idea of Chicken and Waffle (Cones!). This fun take on a street food like meal, this spin on a Southern staple is sure to be a favorite in your family
With summer starting, I am always looking for fun and easy recipes to make with my kids that I know they’ll enjoy. Recently, we were brainstorming more recipes we could include in our Southern Kitchen Bucket List series and Heidi suggested Chicken + Waffles - but switching it up in the most fun way by serving the chicken strips in a waffle cone. I mean, how could you not just love these easy + fun family meals for a great on-the-go option.
This combination of crispy fried chicken tenders and crunchy waffle cones allows us to have chicken and waffles in a matter of minutes. I also love how versatile this recipe is. Simply add syrup and powdered sugar for a breakfast version, or dip it in ketchup or mayo for a fun lunch or dinner idea.
Chicken and Waffles
- Chicken fingers of your choice

- Topping options such as maple syrup, powdered sugar, ketchup or honey mustard
How to cook Chicken and Waffles

These really turned out to be a hit in our house. I would love to know some of your favorite meals to serve up to the kids. Let me know in the comments below.
