Classic Granola Recipe.

I love simple classic recipes or ingredients that work to make other recipes. So, this week I wanted to share the special way I make Granola. While it is yummy by itself, it is also an ingredient in many other recipes or a great topping for yogurt, cereal, or any other quick snack.

I love using ingredients in my recipes that I can trust and know the history of. A brand I just love is Bob’s Red Mill. The founder is still working hard at his business even in his 90’s. I love supporting a “small” business that made it big time. if you checked our Instagram lately you’ll see we recently shared an awesome contest they have going on. Head on over to enter to win, if you haven’t already.

Granola is also so easy to make in a large batch to save for later. As a mom of three I am constantly looking for ways to make meal times easier - and this is one of them. It stores so well in a classic glass jar making it a great food gift as well. Perfect for a teacher present, a welcome gift to a new neighbor, or a yummy treat to a friend.

4. BUTTERMILK BISCUITS.

Biscuits are a Southern staple that are delicious as a side to any meal, or by themselves for breakfast. I first shared by biscuit recipe in our Southern Kitchen Bucket List series, along with some other great Southern staples. But, for breakfast I like my biscuits with some homemade butter or jam. If I want something sweet i’ll whip up some Honey Butter, or if I am feeling savory I’ll use Herb Butter. If you want just plain ‘ole butter, we have you covered there as well. You can find the recipe here.
